Recently I have been reasearching the benefits of foam rolling. Little did I know, it’s actually more beneficial than I had originally thought.
- Increased blood flow
- Decreased recovery time by removing lactic acid
- Increased range of motion
- Helps reduce cellulite
- Helps relieve muscle tension and tightness
- Reduces inflammation
- Reduces joint stress
- Reduces scar tissue
- Help prevent injury
Regularly rolling pre and post workout will help prepare your muscles for your workout and also help with post muscle recovery
The downside? The seem expensive for something that looks like a large piece of hard foam, but I have come across some cheaper ones at the local Marshells, Winners and even online. Given all the benifits I think it’s time to invest!
